I bought Samsung Galaxy Note GT N7000(international version). After installing programs, i found that my smartphone were unable to do the copy paste function especially after installing GO Launcher EX and its associates. Error Message - UNFORTUNATELY, CONTACTS/MESSAGE/TESTSERVICE HAS STOPPED WORKING. Not sure but i think that it is still not compatible enough with Jelly Bean 4.0.4. screw the program man! Tried to remove but same problem. So i decided to Factory Reset and format everything!! Its quite easy actually.
There are few ways that we utilise to do the hard reset / factory reset for Samsung Galaxy Note GT N7000. The most popular is by resetting it manually while the smartphone is on (Settings>Backup and Reset>Factory data reset). The other is by powering off or shutting down the smartphone and go to command prompt. But make sure u follow these few steps BEFORE you do it. Heres how i do it, and works!:

  • CONTACTS - Few ways to backup your contact:
  1. Merge your contact with Google account. Settings > Merge with Google account; OR
  2. Save to SD Card (recommended). Contacts List > Menu > Import/Export > Export to SD Card. In Confirm export Message, press OK. Note the file name ( *.vcf) saved. To import them back after format, choose the *.vcf u saved and just follow the instructions.

  •  FILES (Video / Picture / Music / etc)
  1. What i did was choose the files/folder i want, then move it to SD Card manually.

  • FORMAT/HARD/FACTORY RESET
  1. Power off /shut down your smartphone
  2. Press Volume Up + Power Button + Home Key for few second until you see start screen.
  3. Next it will bring u to command prompt screen.
  4. Use the Vol up or Vol down to high light, home key to select.
  5. Choose wipe data/factory reset.
  6. To confirm select yes. (make sure your battery is full/almost full).
  7. Let your smartphone do the rest and finally will bring you to the first screen as if first time you turn it on.... After some few settings, restore back your contacts, files, music, etc .... Good Luck ...
